PATHANAMTHITTA, JAN. 27. The Government Contractors Co-ordination Committee district unit here has called upon the Chief Minister, Oommen Chandy, to take the initiative to chalk out an action programme to clear the pending arrears to the tune of Rs. 1020 crores to the PWD contractors in the State. Addressing a press conference here today, the All Kerala Government Contractors' Association president, Jose Philip and secretary, P.K.Narayanan Nair, said that the Government's failure to clear the bills submitted by the contractors in time was a clear violation of the PWD Codes.
