BANGALORE, JAN. 27. Over 430 dogs of 36 breeds will display their talents at the 82nd and 83rd All Breeds Annual Championship Dog Shows, scheduled for January 30 at the Veterinary College grounds in Hebbal. The shows are organised by the Mysore Kennel Club. Of the 430 entries, over 80 are from outside Karnataka, the Club President, B C. Ramakrishna, said. Addressing presspersons here on Thursday, he said the shows are "pointed shows" as the best in show winners will be awarded points to win the annual dog of the year award, instituted by the Kennel Club of India. The Director General of Police, Corps of Detectives, K.R. Sreenivasan, and the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Agricultural Sciences (UAS), M.N. Sheelavantar, will inaugurate the shows.
