Light rain likely

Ths sky will be partly cloudy on Friday, according to the weather forecast. Light rain is likely towards evening. The minimum temperature is likely to be around 19 degrees Celsius.

The city recorded a maximum temperature of 30.3 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 17.4 degrees Celsius on Thursday. Rainfall was recorded as 0.6 mm while humidity stood at 41 per cent.

At the airport, the maximum temperature was 29.2 degrees Celsius while the minimum was 16.5 degrees Celsius. Rainfall was 2.4 mm and the relative humidity was 40 per cent.

Sale of meat banned

Karnataka Meat and Poultry Marketing Corporation has banned slaughtering of animals and sale of meat on Sunday in connection with Sarvodaya Day. It has banned slaughter of animals and sale of meat between 8 a.m. on January 29 and 5 a.m. on January 31.

Computer training

Karnataka State Electronics Development Corporation (KEONICS) will offer computer training for students, housewives, office staff and others. The courses offered are: O-Level, Computer Programmer, Office Management, Office Secretariat, Accounting and Computer, Data Entry Operator, Tally (Accounting Package), and C of C++. Eye check-up camp
