NEW DELHI, JAN. 27. Due to repair and annual flushing of booster pumping stations, water supply to several parts of the Capital, particularly in North, West, South and North-East Delhi will remain affected on Friday. According to a Delhi Jal Board release, water supply at MCD Colony in Azadpur, Azadpur village, Model Town, Rana Pratap Bagh, DTC Colony, CC Colony, SB Colony, Rajpura, Gurmandi, Gujrawala Town I and II and Kewal Park will be available at low pressure between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. on Friday due to repair of boosting water line of Kewal Park pumping station. Other localities of the area that will be hit by water shortage include Adarsh Nagar, Bharolla village, Sarai Peepal Thalla, Jehangirpuri, Lal Bagh, Resettlement Colony, GTK Industrial Area and Bhalaswa village. Similarly, due to annual flushing of booster pumping station and cleaning of reservoirs, water supply will remain at low pressure in areas like Singhalpur, Saket, Panchsheel Enclave, Dakshinpuri, Vasant Apartments, Vikaspuri, Tilak Nagar, Janakpuri, Madipur, Faridpuri and Patel Nagar. Other areas to be affected by water shortage include the Delhi University area, Kingsway Camp, Vijay Nagar, TB Hospital, Timarpur, Civil Lines, Khyber Pass, Metcalfe House and Old Secretariat. The Delhi Jal Board has asked people to contact its emergency water supply services at 27677877 (Kewal Park), 23814338 (Chandrawal), 25274679 (Paschim Vihar), 25535659 (Janakpuri), 26414746 (Greater Kailash), 26473720 (Giri Nagar), and 25193140 and 25116805 (Shivaji Enclave).
