MANIPAL, JAN. 28. The Hasta Shilpa Trust has organised a national seminar-cum-workshop on "Aspects of physical culture and heritage conservation with a focus on the trust's Heritage Village project," sponsored by the Norwegian Embassy, New Delhi, here on February 5 and 6. In a press release issued here on Thursday, the secretary of the Hasta Shilpa Trust, Vijaynath Shenoy, said the programme will commence at 10 a.m. on February 5 and the valedictory session will be held at 5 p.m. the following day, the release added. The Heritage Village has been restoring and relocating ancient buildings here. The buildings restored include Hungurcutta Bansale Mane, Veershaiva Jungama Mutt, Kunjur Chowkimane, the Vidyamandir of Ramachandrapura Math, Sringeri House, Byndoor Nelyadi House, Yerukone House, Harkur Oolaginamane and Kamal Mahal of Kukanoor. On January 16 this year, the 400-year-old Durbar Hall of the Old Mudhol Palace belonging to the Ghorpades was relocated.
