Its Indian subsidiary, Jamdat Mobile (India), is holding discussions with 4-5 Indian wireless carriers. The $25 million Jamdat is the first wireless gaming company to be listed on the Nasdaq. With offices in Los Angeles, London, Montreal, and Tokyo, it has 50 games to offer, and works with about 80 service providers. It started its Indian operations recently with 40 people in Hyderabad (globally over 300), and is actively negotiating commercial deals, according to Surya Pulagam, Managing Director, and Anand Reddy, Director. Mr. Pulagam told The Hindu here that Hyderabad was already doing three handset launches and one product launch a month for its parent, since the past few months.Jamdat provides entertainment applications and technologies that support wireless gaming. "Our games are compatible with GSM and CDMA. But interface needs to be improved in India," he feels. Mr. Pulagam said about 30 of the 50 games they offer were their own, and the rest licensed.
