`Finance Ministry examining EPF rate hike'

KOLKATA, JAN. 30. The Union Labour Minister, K. Chandrasekhar Rao, today said the proposal for increasing the Employees' Provident Fund interest rate was being examined by the Finance Ministry and a decision would be taken after receiving its recommendations.

Mr. Rao, who was here to attend a high-level meeting on revival of Dunlop India Limited, said, "the matter is now being examined by the Finance Ministry. " — PTI
