VARANASI, JAN. 30. The Chief Minister, Mulayam Singh Yadav, today dubbed the demand for President's rule in Uttar Pradesh as ``unwarranted and unjustified,'' and said the law and order situation in the State was ``under control.'' Talking to reporters here, he said the Bharatiya Janata Party, the Bahujan Samaj Party and the Congress' demand for President's rule was politically-motivated and aimed at destabilising his Government. The demand follows the murder of the BSP MLA, Raju Pal, in Allahabad on Tuesday. Mr. Yadav said the Centre had not imposed Article 356 in Delhi after his party MP Phoolan Devi was gunned down outside her residence. PTI
