NEW DELHI, JAN. 30. The Human Resource Development Minister, Arjun Singh, who is to appear tomorrow before a magistrate in Jagadhri, Haryana, in relation to a defamation petition filed by the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, today reiterated that he stood by what he had said and there was ``no change in my views or attitude towards the RSS.'' "If someone is looking for an apology from me, I will have to deny them that pleasure,'' he said in response to a question whether he would apologise as demanded by the RSS. Mr. Singh said that two cases had been filed against him by the RSS, one in Chennai and the other at Jagadhri. While the Chennai matter had been ``dismissed,'' he had been issued summons to appear before a magistrate's court in Jagadhri. The Jagadhri case related to a speech made by Mr. Singh on August 8 last and the Haryana head of the RSS, Sangh Chalak Darshan Lal Jain, had filed a petition. It was filed after the RSS demanded an apology from Mr. Singh for connecting the RSS ideology with the Mahatma's murder. When no apology was forthcoming Mr. Singh made it clear that he stood by what he said, which was on record the cases were filed. Mr. Singh was asked by reporters why the RSS was targeting him more than any other Union Minister His answer: ``you should be somebody else.''
