Reconsider policy on militants, Advani urges Centre

By A Correspondent

RANCHI, JAN. 30. The Bharatiya Janta Party today called upon the Centre to reconsider its policy for dealing with the ultra-Left outfits and demanded an emergency meeting of Chief Ministers of the militancy-affected States and Opposition parties.

Talking to pressmen at the Ranchi airport today, the BJP president, L.K. Advani, said that the attack by militants on his party colleague, Venkaiah Naidu, at Barachatti in Bihar's area of Gaya district yesterday was enough reason for the Centre to reconsider its policy on militant outfits.
