Vincent Sahayaraj takes gold

MADURAI, JAN. 30. A. Vincent Sahayaraj of Al Ameen Higher Secondary School won the gold in 39 to 42 kg category in the boys' section in the Madurai District Boxing Championship for boys and girls below-16 years, conducted by the Madurai unit of Sports Development Authority of Tamil Nadu here on Saturday.

The results (winners only): Boys: 36 to 39 kg: E. Maruthu Pandian (JN School); 39 to 42 kg: A. Vincent Sahayaraj; 42 to 45 kg: T. Chandrasekar (Seventh Day Adventist); 45 to 48 kg: M. Balasubramani (ACHSS); 48 to 51: Sathruhan Singh (Seventh Day); 51 to 54 kg: S. Chandra Pandian (GBHSS); 54 to 57 kg: R. Balamurugan (GBHSS); 57 to 60 kg: B. Raghunath (Seventh Day).

Girls: 50 to 52 kg: B. Vinolia (Seventh Day); 39 to 42 kg: R. Ilakkiya Priya; 42 to 45 kg: A. Krishnaveni; 48 to 50 kg: R. Linga Jyothi; 52 to 54 kg: S. Hemamalini; 54 to 57 kg: S. Vidya; 57 to 60 kg: P. Sujitha Angelin.
