Ganesh slams century

DINDIGUL, JAN. 30. A scintillating unbeaten 112 by R. Ganesh and a five-wicket haul by P. Rajamohan (five for 31) helped Majestic Cricket Club carve out a 64-run victory over AP Cricket Club, Pillayarnatham, in the Indian Bank-Dindigul District Cricket Association first division league here on Sunday.

The scores: First division: Majestic CC 256 for seven in 46 overs (R. Ganesh 112 not out, R. Ramachandran 56) bt APCC, Pillayarnatham, 192 in 38 overs (M.S. Muthu Vivekanandan 43, N. Sriram 44, P. Rajamohan five for 31).

Second division: New Magnum CC, Batlagundu 77 in 15.1 overs (Mathalamuthu four for 25) lost to RVS Sports Club 78 for six in 16.2 overs; RVS Sports Club 118 in 24.2 overs (Sunder four for 10) bt Majestic Cubs CC 119 for seven in 23.2 overs (M. Suresh 40).

Third division: National CC 91 in 21.2 overs (K. Balakrishnan four for 24) lost to Samiyar Thottam CC 93 for eight in 22.3 overs.
