Three slain naxals identified

WARANGAL, JAN. 30. Three of the four Prathighatana naxalites, who were killed in the encounter on Saturday near Tadvai forest, were identified as P. Venkat Reddy alias Komura Reddy alias Bhupati, B. Komuraiah alias Kondanna and Kaveri Babu alias Naresh.

According to the police, Bhupati belonged to Machapur village of Govindaraopet mandal and was Prathighatana's Narasampept zonal committee secretary. He was involved in several cases of kidnap, attacks and extortions.

Kondanna belonged to Peddapuram of Venkatapur mandal and was Yellandu zonal committee secretary. He was involved in 14 cases which include murder, kidnap, attacks and extortion. Kaveri Babu belonged to Chintagudem village of Eturunagaram mandal and was a member of Bhupati's dalam. The fourth member was yet to be identified.

Ex-naxal killed

Our Karminagar Staff Reporter writes:

The Maoists shot dead a surrendered naxalite, V. Ramesh alias Murali (22), branding him an informer, on the outskirts of Begumpet village in Kamanpur mandal in the early hours of Sunday.
