VIJAYAWADA, JAN. 30. The Forest Department officials seized red sanders near Gollapudi transport check-post, on Sunday. The Divisional Forest Officer, K. Suryanarayana, said the logs were being smuggled out of Guntur in a lorry, which was on its way to Mumbai. They were placed under a layer of unripe papayas, he said. The vehicle driver, Shivaram Prasad, and the cleaner, Siva, were taken into custody.
