GUNTUR, JAN. 30. The Diocese of Guntur and the Guntur Diocese Social Service and Welfare Society on Sunday extended relief and rehabilitation to 400 families in Nizampatnam in Guntur district. The help in the form of rice, dal, oil, clothes and a set of utensils reached 400 families sponsored by the Parish of Holy Spirit of the Archdiocese of Kansas City in the US. They had donated Rs. 15 lakhs for the purpose, which was enough to finance some nets and boats for affected families. The Bishop of Guntur Diocese, Gali Bali, and the Guntur-I MLA, Nabur Subhani, were present on the occasion.
