KOZHIKODE, JAN. 30. State Bank of Travancore (SBT) is going into its first home match in the NFL, to be held here on Tuesday, in a confident frame of mind. The team isn't worried that its rival is East Bengal, which is aiming for a hat-trick of titles in India's premier football league, according to the coach N.M. Najeeb. "East Bengal is of course a formidable rival, but we will play attacking football," he told reporters here on Sunday. "We've played fairly well the league so far. It was just because of bad luck that we lost our last match to Fransa, Goa, after playing so well." He said he was happy that SBT would be playing at Kozhikode. "This city is also very much a home to us. And it would be great to play before the people of Kozhikode."
SBT's manager Jiju Jacob and assistant coach V.P. Shaji also attended the press meet. Our Sports Reporter
