Double for Megha

KOCHI, JAN. 30. Megha bagged a double in the YMCA all-Kerala junior badminton tournament which concluded at the Indira Nagar YMCA, Kadavanthra, on Sunday night.

Megha defeated Daya Elsa Jacob in the under-16 and under-19 girls singles.

Amit won the under-19 boys title while Jayakrishnan wore the under-16 crown.

The Ernakulam YMCA President P.K.Joseph gave away the prizes.

The results (finals):

Boys: Under-16 singles: Jayakrishnan bt Ravi Shanker 17-14, 15-13. Doubles: Arun George & Pranav bt Aditya Prakash & Jayakrishnan 14-17, 15-11, 15-5.

Under-19 singles: Amit bt Jayakrishnan 15-7, 15-3. Doubles: Davis & Govindadas bt Jithin & Amit 15-7, 15-12.

Girls: Under-16: Megha bt Daya Elsa Jacob 11-0, 10-13, 11-9. Under-19: Megha bt Daya Elsa Jacob 11-0, 11-13, 11-2.
