KOZHIKODE, JAN. 30. Cine actor Sivakumar inaugurated the 46th anniversary day celebrations of the Tamil Sanghom Calicut here at the Gujarathi School auditorium on Beach Road this evening. A special programme was arranged on the occasion in which the actor spoke about his views about the art of drawing and cinema. He also distributed prizes to 76 winners in the sports competitions. In his presidential address, the Tamil Sanghom Calicut president, R.M. Solayan, said the organisation was in the process of constructing a complex of its own at Eranhipalam. He also handed over a cheque for Rs. 10,000 to the Kozhikode MLA, A. Sujanapal, to be donated to the Chief Minister's Relief Fund for the tsunami victims in the State. The Tamil Sangham Calicut joint secretary A. Karuppuswamy, and joint secretary, N.P. Prakasam, spoke on the occasion.
