GUNTUR, JAN. 30. A plant and flower exhibition was organised by the city-based Haritha Priya on Sunday at the NTR Municipal Stadium bringing to close the week-long annual celebrations. Prizes were given in several categories for outdoor and indoor gardens, flower arrangement and other categories. The Mayor, Chukka Yesuratnam, inaugurated the exhibition. The Mayor, while congratulating the Haritha Priya on inculcating the habit of growing plants in the house and greening the city to make it a better place to live, promised all possible help from the Municipal Corporation. He lauded the services of Nannapaneni Mangadevi, the founder of the organisation in inspiring several women to take to gardening.
