TIRUCHI, JAN. 30 . Sixty-five books authored by Tamil scholar and writer, R. Ilankumaran, were released at a function organised here today by literary personalities.

The Vice-Chancellor, C. Thangamuthu, lauded the writer's initiative and thanked the Singapore-based industrialist, V.Karu Kovalakannan, for providing Rs. 1 lakh to create an endowment in the name of V.P.K. Sundaranar, an exponent of Tamil ragas, in the university.
