Punishment for Suryanelli case accused sought

KOCHI, JAN. 30. Bharathiya Abhibhasaka Parishad, Kerala, in a statement has demanded that all persons accused in the Suryanelli sex racket case should be punished. They should not be let free by using loopholes in the existing rules and laws.

M. Udhayasankar, president of the Parishad, said the Government should file an appeal against the High Court judgement immediately.

Distribution of wheelchairs

Kochi Refineries Limited will distribute artificial limbs and wheelchairs to physically challenged people free of cost. As part of the programme, a medical camp for preliminary screening will be held in March.

Road safety programme

As part of the road safety awareness programme, competitions in quiz, essay writing and painting will be held for school and college students on February 12 and 16.

The event is being organised by the Ministry of Road Transport and Research Institute of Rajagiri College of Social Science. Those interested should contact the phone number 2556579 before February 5.
