Congress to pre-empt TDP's move
By Our Staff Reporter
HYDERABAD,
JAN. 30.
In a bid to counter the attempts of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) to raise the murder of the Penukonda MLA, Paritala Ravindra, in New Delhi, the Congress is preparing a fact-file, compiling photographs and video clippings of the excesses allegedly committed by the slain legislator.
Congress leaders decided to take the issue to Delhi, by sending the photographs of the victims of violence allegedly perpetrated by Paritala and the video clippings of buses and Government property allegedly burnt by TDP workers after the murder, to the Prime Minister and the President on February 1, party sources said here today.
The move comes in the wake of the TDP's decision to petition the President, the Prime Minister and the National Human Rights Commission in New Delhi on February 2.
