Youth dies in suicide pact

HYDERABAD,
JAN. 30.
A 22-year-old youth died, while the girl he was in love with, is in a serious condition, after both reportedly consumed poison, under the Tukaramgate police station limits on Saturday.
According to the police, R. Srinivas, a private employee and resident of Vadderbasti in Addaguta, was having an affair with his neighbour, Sravanthi. Recently, they reportedly decided to get married and informed their parents about it.
However, their parents were against it as both belonged to different castes. Dejected, the duo decided to end their lives. On Saturday afternoon they reportedly consumed poison.
On seeing them lying unconscious, locals rushed them to Gandhi Hospital, where Srinivas died last evening. The girl is presently undergoing treatment and her condition is said to be serious.
