Karnataka teams

BANGALORE, JAN. 31. The 12th senior South Zone volleyball championship for men and women will be held at Sulia, Dakshina Kannada District from February 2 to 6. All the five teams in the South Zone, namely, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala and Pondicherry have confirmed their participation in both the men's and women's sections.

The championship is being organised by Dakshina Kannada District Association under the auspices of the Karnataka Volleyball Association and the VFI.

The State teams:

Men: S. Raghavendra ( Capain), Ujwal Shetty, Mahesh, Wilfred Vegas, C.K. Swamy, Gavas, Ramesh, Dharnish Kumar, Gansh Rai, Vijaykumar, Sunil, Ramesh Mandigere, Nandeesh, Ravikumar, Praveen, Aditya and M. Vinod. Manager: Basavaraj Hosamath. Coach: K.S. Rajashekar.

Women: Pavithra (Captain), R. Ganga, Sharada, K.M. Rani, Suma Hegde, Teena Jain, Ashwini, Kavya, U. Swetha, Suvarna Kumari, Akshatha and D. Shilpa. Coaches: Narayana Alva, K.C. Ashok and Madan Dongare.
