CUDDAPAH, JAN. 31. Revenue officials seized 91 quintals of rice, 41 quintals of sugar and 78 litres of kerosene, worth around Rs. 1 lakh, from the house of the Proddatur Rice Dealers Association president, Yerikala Reddy, on Monday. The seized rice, sugar and kerosene was originally allotted for distribution through fair price shops. The Mandal Revenue Inspector, Kiran, and staff raided the house and made the seizure on information given by an anonymous caller to the Proddatur MRO, S.A. Khader Basha.
