Heavy rain lashes city

HYDERABAD, JAN. 31 . Heavy rain lashed the twin cities on Monday night leaving the roads in several areas under sheets of water. The downpour continued for nearly 30 minutes and the drizzle continued till late in the night. People were stranded and vehicles moved at a snail's place on the waterlogged roads. The Met department said that 5.9 mm rain was recorded till 11.30 p.m. The downpour also led to the temperature dropping in the night.
