Letters to the Editor
Sir, This article, "The religion we need" (Open Page, Feb. 1), was interesting. Ironically, it is organised religions, whose rationale is brotherhood and peace, that become most formidable obstacles in the path of peace more often than not. If not controlled, the rising flames of religious fundamentalism may well ignite a worldwide conflagration, the consequences of which are unthinkable. Without a common conviction about our existence, it is inconceivable that the foundation can be laid for a global society.
