CHITRADURGA, FEB. 1. A weeklong road traffic census will begin in the district from February 9. This census will be conducted from 6 a.m. on February 9 to 6 a.m. on February 16 at selected points on State Highways and major roads in the district, M. Raveendrappa, executive engineer of the Public Works Department, said. An official release said that the census will help study the various parameters of road traffic, such as volume and nature of traffic, to upgrade and develop roads. This will also help to take measures to prevent accidents, the release added. He has requested the public to extend their cooperation in this regard.
