By Our Staff Reporter

VELLORE, FEB. 1. R. Brameesan, Assistant Siddha Medical Officer of the District Headquarters Siddha Hospital, Vellore, has claimed to have cured an Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS) patient after six months of treatment.

Disclosing details of the treatment to newspersons here today , S. Sugumaran, District Siddha Medical Officer, said that a 45-year-old patient of Ambur came to Dr. Brameesan for treatment of AIDS eight months ago with symptoms such as fatigue, loss of appetite and sleeplessness.

He was treated with a combination of Siddha drugs and allopathic anti-retroviral drugs for six months.
