Teachers drop fast move

HYDERABAD, FEB. 1. The Andhra Pradesh Teachers' Federation on Tuesday said that the indefinite hunger strike by the general secretary, M. Balakrishnamma, from February 9 is postponed.

This follows the issue of orders by the Visakhapatnam DEO keeping in abeyance the `repressive' measures against teachers such as stopping HRA, CCA and increments, according to a statement issued here on Tuesday by Y. Satyam, president.
