Allowances hiked for residential staff

HYDERABAD, FEB. 1. The Government has enhanced allowances payable to certain categories of employees working in residential schools run by the Education Department.

The monthly allowances are in addition to their regularly salaries.

According to the School Education Minister, N. Rajyalakshmi, the monthly allowance for the assistant to Principal has been increased to Rs. 400 from Rs. 200 and that of the deputy warden to Rs. 500 from Rs. 300.

Physical education teacher who stays on the school premises will get an allowance of Rs. 100 per month instead of Rs. 25. Physical directors will get an allowance at Rs. 200 per month and yoga teachers Rs. 200.
