By Our Staff Reporter
KOTTAYAM, FEB. 1. The CPI(M) will organise a human chain on February 4 to protest against the Government's apathy in effectively tackling the incidence of viral hepatitis in the district. Speaking to reporters, the CPI(M) leader, V.N. Vasavan, and the chairman of the organising committee, Rajan Gurukkal, said the human chain would extend from Kottayam Collectorate to the Medical College Hospital at Gandhi Nagar, 10 km away. The chain, which would take shape at 5.05 p.m., would hold for five minutes during which members would make a declaration. Later, public meetings would be held. The Deputy Leader of the Opposition, Kodiyeri Balakrishnan, will inaugurate the public meeting.
