MANGALORE, FEB. 1. The Bantwal Police intercepted a vehicle which was reportedly carrying cows and calves illegally at BC Road on National Highway 48 in the early hours of Tuesday. The police who seized the cattle and calves later handed over them to members of Gau Samrakshana Samiti, Urva Stores, here.
Arrested
The Kavoor Police on Monday arrested two persons on the charge of disturbing peace at Padukodi village in their limits. The arrested persons, Sebastian D'Souza and Pius D'Souza, were fighting and abusing each other using foul language, the police said. The accused were produced before a court here.
