Ninety affected families relocated

CHENNAI,
FEB. 1.
The Chennai Corporation on Monday relocated 90 families from Poongavanam Kuppam Srinivasapuram in R.K. Nagar area, rendered homeless by the tsunami, to temporary shelters at Kargil Nagar in Sattangadu in north Chennai.
The civic body had earlier relocated 50 families from coastal areas to the temporary dwellings in Kargil Nagar. Electricity, toilet and water supply facilities have been provided, said a Corporation release. The civic body has completed construction of 700 shelters.
