Rs. 30,000 stolen from TASMAC shop

CHENNAI,
FEB. 1.
Thirtythousand rupees in cash was stolen from a TASMAC wine shop on Jawaharlal Nehru Road, Ekkaduthangal, on Monday.
According to the police, thieves broke the lock open on the shutters of the shopand removed the cash kept in a chest. The crime came to light this morning and the shop supervisor, R. Sathishkumar, filed a complaint with the Guindy police.
A senior police officer said that around 1.30 a.m. the beat police checked the shop and there was nothing amiss.
Three sets of fingerprints were lifted from the shop.
