4,200 kg of PDS rice seized

DINDIGUL, FEB. 1 . The police seized 84 bags containing 4,200 kg of rice, meant for the public distribution system, during vehicle checks on the Sempatti-Batlagundu main road near Pattiveeranpatti-Iyyampalayam junction on Sunday night.

The police said the van driver, K. Suresh Kumar of Ezhumalai in Madurai district, was arrested and the vehicle seized.
