THIRUVANANTHAPURAM. Feb. 1. The Minister for Education, E.T. Mohammed Basheer, has said the grading and continuous evaluation system, now implemented for class 10, should be adapted to suit the requirement of students in the higher secondary classes before implementing them for these classes. He was inaugurating a five-day workshop organised by the State Council for Educational Research and Training to discuss the introduction of grading and continuous evaluation for the higher secondary section. Teachers and all others who are involved in the education reform process should work as one unit to achieve the set targets, Mr. Basheer said. A pressnote issued here today said this workshop is the second of its kind to be organised by the SCERT. The participants of the workshop would draw up blueprints for implementing grading and continuous evaluation, prepare source books for all subjects and introduce an activity-based syllabus.
