BANGALORE, FEB. 1. The existing laws pertaining to cyber crime are inadequate, Fali. S. Nariman, President of the Bar Association of India, has said. Speaking at the inauguration of a two-day conference on "Outsourcing and entrepreneurship goes global: legal issues affecting technology in Asian markets" here today, he said ways of enacting effective laws to control cyber crime should be discussed. He said outsourcing has brought significant benefits. As the world is getting more and more economically interdependent, outsourcing will play a vital role in the 21st Century, he added. The conference will discuss a wide range of issues including protection of intellectual property rights, liability issues relating to outsourcing, legal issues associated with open source and options for financing a technology company. The event will also offer international networking and learning opportunities for professionals in connection with information technology and e-commerce.
