NEW DELHI, FEB. 2. Olympic silver-winning shooter, Lt Col. Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, Olympian hurdler Gurbachan Singh Randhawa and Dronacharya awardees, J. S. Saini and Desh Prem Azad, are among those who have been nominated on the Academic Council of the Netaji Subhas National Institute of Sports, Patiala. The other members of the council include former international athlete, Brig. Labh Singh, Prof. S. N. Singh (IIT, Delhi), Prof. K. K. Deepak (AIIMS, Delhi), Regional Director, SAI (Academics), Regional Directors SAI Southern Centre, Bangalore, SAI NSEC, Kolkata, In-charge Sports Medicine, NIS Patiala, In-charge (National camps), NIS Patiala, In-charge, Sports Sciences, NIS, Patiala and Principal, LNIPE, Thiruvananthapuram. All chief coaches of NIS, Patiala, will be special invitees to the panel that will be chaired by Dr. M. P. Ganesh, Executive Director (TEAMS and Academics), SAI.
