Religion we need

Sir, — This refers to the article, "The religion we need" (Open Page, Feb. 1). Religion is essential to humanity but religiosity — blind adherence to certain tenets and observances as preached by the so-called religious leaders — is dangerous. Unfortunately, the major religions in the world have become more and more ritualistic than spiritual, thus losing their inner content at the hands of bigots and pseudo gurus.
