HUBLI, FEB. 3. The Pancha Maha Mahotsava was inaugurated here on Wednesday at Sri Raghavendra Swamy Mutt, Bhavaninagar, by the pontiff of Sri Raghavendraswamy Mutt, Sushameendra Tirtha. The 42-day mahotsava has been organised to mark the 14th anniversary of the establishment of the mutt. Speaking on the occasion, the seer said devotion is necessary to usher in peace. The country is going through troubled times with accidents and natural calamities claiming a lot of lives, he said and added that he will pray for the dawn of peace and tranquillity. Vadirajacharya Nagarahalli, principal of the Sanskrit Patha Shala of Mantrayala, said the mahotsava will bring enduring happiness and contentment. According to mutt sources, the mahotsava will conclude on March 20.
