HYDERABAD, FEB. 3. The Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (EAMCET) - 2005 will be held on April 29 with no significant change in the test pattern or the conduct of the examination. The engineering test will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and the medical and agriculture stream from 2.30 p.m. to 5 p.m. The EAMCET-2005 Chairman and JNTU Vice-Chancellor, Y. Venkatrami Reddy, told reporters here today that papers would be prepared based on the new curriculum adopted by the Board of Intermediate Education (BIE). The instruction booklets to be given to students along with the application form would carry the entire syllabus. A notification would be issued on February 7. The applications, costing Rs. 300 each, would be sold from February 10 to March 3 at all major post offices in the State. Though the last date for submission of forms is March 3, 2005, students can submit forms till March 10 with a fine of Rs. 500 and till March 19 with a late fee of Rs. 1,000. Candidates or their parents and friends can collect the hall-tickets from the Regional Coordinators' offices from April 1 to 7 by showing the registered proof. The remaining hall-tickets would be despatched to the candidates from April 8. Duplicate hall-tickets would be issued to candidates, if need be, by the Regional Coordinators on payment of Rs. 20. This year the EAMCET Committee has decided to do away with online downloading of hall-tickets by students.
