Nellore
NELLORE, FEB. 3. Functionaries of the Viswa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Nyayavada Parishad (NP) have demanded stringent action against some Christian religious preachers who, they allege, have been going beyond their visa limitations and carrying on their propaganda at Nellore. In a representation to the Superintendent of Police, B. Sivadhar Reddy, here on Thursday, the district VHP President, Ch. Janakiramaiah and general secretary of NP, K.B.S. Mani, alleged that the preachers had been making unfair comments on Hindus and their dieties. Such derogatory remarks, they contended were bound to vitiate the atmosphere, and accordingly, requested the authorities to take suitable measures. The functionaries regretted that despite their written representation to the lower level police officials, no action has been taken.
