SBI reaches semifinals

A goal scored by Vasudevan in the 59th minute helped State Bank of India, Chennai, defeat G.K. Motor Finance Club, Madurai, 1-0 and enter the semifinals of the fourth annual TNEB Trophy State-level invitation hockey tournament at V.O.C. stadium here on Thursday.
In another match, Tamil Nadu Special Police, Chennai, beat Jothi Sports Club, Palayamkottai, by a solitary goal scored by Parthiban and made the semifinals.
In yet another match ICF (Chennai) beat Reserve Line Sports Club (Madurai) 2-1 to enter the last four. Saravanan and Hayath scored for ICF and Kathiravan scored for RLSC.
