TUTICORIN, FEB. 3. Central Railway, Mumbai, beat Karnataka Police 25-17, 25-13, 27-25 in the three-team women's Pool X league in the 20th all-India invitation volleyball tournament conducted jointly by P.S.T.S. Foundation and Tuticorin District Volleyball Association at TMB Floodlit Stadium here on Thursday. Central Railway, with two wins, and Karnataka Police, with one win, qualified for the semifinals as the first and second team. On Wednesday night, Central Railway, Mumbai beat GKM Volleyball Club, Chennai 25-16, 25-18, 25-18. As this was the second loss for GKM Volleyball Club, it made its exit from the tournament. In the men's three-team Pool `B' league, Indian Bank, Chennai, defeated Karnataka State Police 12-25, 23-25, 25-21, 25-18, 15-11 in a tense match which lasted 84 minutes and entered the semifinals.
