MUMBAI, FEB. 3. Abhishek Yadav came up with a standout performance after coming on as second-half substitute in Mahindra United's 1-0 win over Salgaocar Sports Club in the 9th National Football League here on Thursday. The Mumbai team now has seven points from four matches, the Goans have six from five. After a string of low-key performances in earlier matches Yadav was brought on by coach Syed Naeemuddin as second half substitute for Rodrigo de Almeida, and the offence got bite with Yadav winning ball possession. The match-winner came in the 13th minute of the second session with a Rauf Khan free-kick headed on by Yadav for Flavio Rodrigues to head home past Salgaocar keeper Juje Siddi. Mahindras won after an off-the-ball offence by defender Arun Malhotra on rival striker Felix Ibrebru attracted a red card for the former, but the Mumbai side got its act together.
