Bomb hoax in school

KARAIKUDI,
FEB. 3.
The functioning of schools was disrupted here today following a bomb hoax.
According to sources, a peon of the Alagappa Matriculation School received an anonymous call this morning saying that a bomb had been planted in the building and that it would go off within a few minutes.
Acting on information by R. Swaminathan, principal of the school, a bomb detection and disposal squad rushed to the school and conducted a search. However, it turned out to be a hoax.
The parents, who did not want take chances, preferred to take away their children.
