Entrance tests as scheduled

CHENNAI,
FEB. 3.
Anna University will conduct the Tamil Nadu Professional Courses Entrance Examinations (TNPCEE) 2005 as per schedule, on April 23 and 24.
The Vice-Chancellor, E. Balagurusamy, said in a release today, "There are no suitable dates available in the last week of April or the first week of May, as other entrance examinations, such as the AFMC 2005, the AIEEE 2005, the EAMCET 2005 and the CEE 2005 are scheduled for the first or second week of May."
He said the students from the 66 tsunami-hit schools would be exempted from the TNPCEE fees.
Anna University, which conducts the TNPCEE every year, will hold entrance tests in Biology (including vocational), Physical Sciences, Mathematics (including vocational), and Physics, Chemistry and Economics for Vocational only. Each test will be of three-hour duration.
