CHENNAI, FEB. 3. `Vision 2005,' the Guindy College of Engineering's national-level technical symposium, will kick off with a three-day public exhibition beginning February 28. Students will display their hardware and software projects at the exhibition, which is expected to draw a 10,000 people. Hardware projects on display will include analog and digital electronics, while the software projects will include simulation software, application software and gaming software.

The six-day computers and electronics symposium at Anna University will also feature four workshops on VLSI, Embedded systems, medical electronics and wireless communication.

However, `Spectra,' a paper presentation contest, is likely to be the highlight of the contest. Unsolved problems, unexplored concepts and innovative ideas will be tackled in papers and presented at this forum. The last date for submitting papers is February 21.

Robotics buffs will get a chance to test their robots at `Robotronics', an industrial robot design contest and `DriveThru', a remote-controlled car design contest. Other events include a hardware debugging contest, poster presentation competition and a gaming competition.
