`Manmohan did not want his picture on invitation'

CHENNAI,
FEB. 3.
The Prime Minister, Manmohan Singh's picture was not displayed on the invitation for the recent functions of the Union Ministry of Shipping, Road Transport and Highways in the city, as he did not want it, the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam's deputy leader, Durai Murugan, told the Assembly today.
This provoked the Chief Minister, Jayalalithaa, to ask him whether the Prime Minister wanted the picture of the DMK leader to appear. (The Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways is T. R.Baalu, who belongs to the DMK)
Mr. Murugan replied that Dr. Singh did not say that Mr. Karunanidhi's picture should not appear.
